A distinguished London-based filmmaker, photographer and storyteller, Alfred George Bailey is celebrated for his compelling narratives and visually captivating style.

Raised in the rhythm of his father’s North West London gospel church, Alfred found his first creative outlet as a drummer, later joining a Jazz Funk band at 16, where he performed with his close friend, renowned saxophonist Courtney Pine CBE.

From an early age, Alfred's passion for the arts - especially photography and film - was sparked by his older brother, who gave him his first 35mm camera.

Over the last 25 years, Alfred’s photography has captured musicians, dancers, and moments of real human connection, celebrated for its intimacy and emotional depth. As a testament to his outstanding photographic skills, Alfred proudly serves today as an ambassador for Leica, representing the brand's commitment to excellence in visual storytelling.
