From Sports to Health and Fitness, Fashion to Food, Immersive Retail to Home and beyond.
Taking us though his portfolio, Kev’s work delights us at every turn, with boundary-pushing design, upon boundary-pushing design – quietly and unassumingly presented.
Striking us immediately was the bravely joyous mix of disruption, challenge, innovation, energy, and elevation.
So, we thought what better way to introduce Kev, than shining a very bright spotlight on his electricity-inducing brand refresh of The Big Creative UK Summit.

Creative UK brought Kev on board to rebrand its largest, hugely successful, UK event.
The scope was impressive. Both thrill-inducing and humbling in equal measures.
The creation of a dynamic new logo and brand that needed to stand-up and out, rolled-out across event materials, digital assets, and social media content.
-
Creative UK wanted to reimagine the visual identity of their largest UK event.
Debuting in 2020: The‘Creative Coalition Festival’, was born from a desire to support the creative community during the challenges of the pandemic. It provided a space to unite, share ideas, and spotlight both home-grown and international talent.
And, whilst the pandemic prevented an in-person event in its first year: In the years since, the festival has grown exponentially, attracting industry leaders, emerging voices, and renowned creators, with its audience expanding nationally and globally.
With this growth and evolution, Creative UK recognised it presented the perfect opportunity: To harness and refresh their existing ‘Creative Coalition Festival’ brand to reflect this bold, new phase it has entered.

With the brief set, Kev’s refresh had to achieve the holy trinity of design:
It had to be Omnipotent: A powerful design that speaks as both as an authority and friend, engaging both the world it inhabits, and the brilliant creatives and leaders that live within it.
It had to be Omnipresent: Seamlessly and consistently executed across all brand elements – both old and new.
It had to be Omniscient: Understanding, capturing, and embodying all that Creative UK stands for. It’s vision and mission and all it supports through this significant national event -
Think Kandinsky meetsKawsmeets Alan Fletcher, infusing bold energy and fresh concepts, with vibrant colours colliding with abstract shapes.
The design centred around four geometric shapesthat represent Creative UK’s sub-brands: evolving into a cohesive typographic system, binding the event’s diverse elements into one seamless visual language.
The inclusion of mono logos, additional graphic devices, and a succinct (and importantly friendly) brand guidelines document, complete the brand refresh.
Like a conversation just rolling-off the tongue, the brand can now evolve and get even better, as it unfolds and is applied.
A refreshed brand encapsulating everything Creative UK stands for: connecting visionaries, embracing new technologies, and reimagining the future.
Brief smashed? A big fat shiny yes. A clean and timeless design, with emotional depth, that stands strong on its own two feet? Yes, yes and yes again. Kev’s work is a bold, transformative example of design at its finest. Don’t. forget to check out Kev’s Spotlight Interview.
